precisely

Geoffrey Aitken

i did not realise

until

the bartender called

last drinks

after the restaurateur

had also reminded me

of business hours

and the 24/7

congregational church

closed

to feed its mice

that i saw the flow

of information

had become sparse

and terribly inconsistent

reminding me that science

had begun its own cause

launching into near space

for travel beyond

so the need to exist

truly means something
